History of the Church:
Pinetucky Church of God of Prophecy is a local pentecostal church located near Rentz,
Georgia. Pinetucky is part of the Church of God of Prophecy which has a world wide membership of over a million.
We are one big family, here locally and world wide. Our church was started by Tom and Eva Carver from Axson, Georgia.
They would walk miles, sleep under stars, eat whatever they could find, to work for the Lord. They were both powerful
ministers who God used mightly.
Our history runs deep, our faith runs deeper. We are grounded in the word,
solid in worship, and learning to pray like never before. Our hope is Jesus Christ and our motto is Loving God, Loving
People. We practice this in the effect that we have an open door policy, like Christ, "whosoever will."
Our church was started in 1934 around August. In seventy-one years, we have
grown and continue to grow. Our prayer is to be a beacon of light to the community as strive to grow closer to God.
After seventy one years of ministry, we are trying new things, experiencing the presence of God and enjoying each other.
Our history and heritage run deep. So does our faith. We have much history
to write and more legacies to leave behind. Yet we are laying the foundation for Pinetucky to be here for generations
to come.
